What my participants see
This is what participants in my first study experienced while wearing a Meta Quest 3 headset.
I am particularly proud of the user experience - personally, I am always slightly annoyed of keeping the controllers in my hands, especially in an augmented reality, where you can actually see your real hands. So I included a gesture-based interaction, and I was also a little surprised to have participants tell me that it is very intuitive.
A slight disadvantage is that while I am programming, I look like a confused person grabbing the air randomly…
